Family Vacation in SanDiego!

Some pretty flowers at the temple

Water drops in a spiderweb on a bush, pretty cool huh?

I love the colors in this flower!!

The awesome sealions!

Okay 1st off, the weather in SanDiego is beautiful!!! I even got cold while we were there, lol. I loved the overcast weather with the nice breeze. Although I must admit I did start missing the sun and heat so i'm deffinately glad to be back but it was nice for a change. Saturday morning my family left bright and early to SanDiego. My dad got a GPS for fathers day so he had a ball playing with his new toy and I must say it was nice not to have to pull over and ask for directions (which would take forever since men never do haha). That afternoon we went to La Jolla beach and saw the sea lions and went body surfing. Fun times! The waves were crazy so it was kind of scary at first but after a while we got the hang of it. However Megan and I got loads of sand in our swimsuits, we brought a whole bucket full back to the hotel! Sunday we went sight seeing. We visited the SanDiego temple (which is beautiful!) and the USS Midway. I could never be in the Navy I just don't know how they do it, living in tiny areas like that. It was pretty incredible to see every part of the ship though, quite an experience so I highly recommend it. Monday we went to SeaWorld! My favorite part was the Sea Lions, they are so funny and have great personalities :) I loved spending time with my family, it was so nice to get away from our busy lives and enjoy spending time with eachother!

Lot's of Fun!

Here's what my past week was like! Tuesday night I went to Nikki and Doug's house and us girls made Chile Shrimp for dinner! It was so much fun, I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes. Thanks for the fun night Nikki, let's do it again soon!
Friday, Jaimee and I went to see BATMAN!! That movie was amazing!! Heath Ledger did an amazing job as the joker, he was funny yet so freaky he gave me the goose bumps! It was 2.5 hours so kinda long, but it deffinately keeps you entertained the whole time. Deffinately worth buying! (Oh and Jaimee's eye is practically back to normal, look how beautiful she is!)
Saturday I went with Heather and a group of friends to the D-Backs game. We bought nose bleed seats but we were lucky to have Heather's cousin there who had two extra tickets only 6 rows behind home plate! HOW COOL IS THAT?! I've never sat that close to a game in my whole life, it was a cool experience, and we even won against the Dodgers 3-2, heck yeah! Afterwards we all went to Joes Crab Shack. While Heather was gagging at the smell of fish the rest of us were enjoying the sweet smell, haha. Coconut shrimp is yummmm. Hope everyone is doing good!!

Memories

Here are the directions:
1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Fun/Crazy/Not Smart Boating Trip

So this is my main event of last week!
Last Wednesday my friend Ashley invited
me and Jaimee to go out to the lake with her
and some friends. We went wakeboarding
and the last time I went I wasn't able to get up
but I got up this time! TWICE! Yippee for me!
(That's me above) SO as you can tell me and Jaimee
went cliff jumping with the 3 boys, ummmm bad idea.
(picture above is me jumping) It seriously did not seem
that high when looking from the boat! I know I know
you all have permission to scold me, I deffinately could've
been killed. But thankfully I wasn't and thankfully I didn't
even end up as bad as Jaimee. Jaimee was so close to the rock
when she jumped it wasn't even funny. Apparently her fist
hit her eye when she hit the water causing her eye
to swell and blacken at that exact moment. I swear her
eye was sticking out an extra inch or two, it was so scary,
she was even really dizzy. Two days later her eye
was purple (pictured above) but Jaimee loves
her black eye because she says she's always wanted one!
That girl has such optimism and boy do I love her! She
said this was even the highlight of her summer! She
sure does have a different idea of "highlight of summer"
but hey i'll take it, it makes me not feel so bad for
jumping off the cliff with her. lol, but NO I will NEVER
do that EVER AGAIN!!!
PS. I heard from Conrad today and he is doing wonderful as always!
He was transfered to a new area last week and has a new comp
who as only been in the country for a monthwhich makes him senior
companion. He is pretty nervous and hasn't been able to sleep well
all week but I'm sure that means he's just working extra hard and doing
his best! He is such a hard worker, I sure do Love that boy!!
PPS. oh yes, I gave a talk on Sunday about repentance. Boy
that was nerve wrecking, my legs were shaking so bad the entire
time, but I think it turned out pretty good! At least I hope so :)

My 4th of July Weekend!

So this was my 4th of July weekend! My family went up to my grandma Allen's house who lives up in Taylor, AZ. A lot of people don't know where that is, it's up by Showlow and Snowflake. A small little town in the mountains! It's tradition for our family to celebrate the 4th up there, we go just about every year! Megan brought her friend Ashley up with us and we had tons of girly fun! We sleep on my grandma's front lawn the night before (except this year cause it rained!) and we wake up about 4 am for the Anville! (Pictured above) It's been going on for the past 50 years...everyone in the town wakes up and follows the anville around town in their trucks and cars all while honking their horns to wake everyone up! There's always a band that plays and firetrucks, this year there was even a semi that followed! This always lasts till about 6:30am. Afterwards we always have breakfast (pancakes, eggs, and fruit) at my grandmas house with our cousins. That night is the Taylor Rodeo where we eat delicious Navajo Tacos, scream our heads off cheering for the cowboys, and watch amazing Taylor fireworks! It's always a trip to remember, good family tradition!:)
This year I took pictures of my parents on my grandma's property. In September they will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary! Above I posted a few for a sneak peak, I'll have more when their anniversary comes around! (I'm trying to get into photography, I love it and would like to make a career out of it on the side! So if anyone needs pictures done for cheap I will do them because I've got to start a portfolio.) Enjoy!

Bad Clutch Driving

So here's a video of me trying to learn how to drive clutch again. Nathan is up front teaching me in his little work truck while his friend is video taping the whole thing. Conrad tried to teach me a couple of years ago but I guess I forgot?? Okay well maybe I was just never good! Enjoy the goofy video!

Feeling a Little Blue

I don't know what it is but today is a sad day for me. Conrad is always on my mind and I talk about him all of the time (probably too much!) but with being home, not working this week and making his mission memory book i've had a lot more time to think about him than usual and it's making me sad. I miss Conrad so much!! Expressing myself over my blog like this is making me almost cry, I shouldn't do this! I just wanted to say how much Conrad means to me. He is truly my Best Friend and I couldn't ask for better! He is always making sure that he is letting me know how important I am to him and that means so much to me. He is the hardest worker I know, truly honors his priesthood and is the best missionary out there :) To say the least, I can't wait to be with this guy forever! I Love You Conrad!

I've Been Getting Creative!

Wahla! Here is my latest creation! Since I have work off until next Wednesday I've made one of my goals to organize Conrad's mission pictures. It takes way too much time to scrapbook all of them and make them super cute, so I saw this idea on shesgotitall.net and it is SO easy!! It's an easy and simple way to organize my pictures but yet I think it still looks so cute!
